What it is

The Baxi 7662047 is a 3-way valve motor head supplied with its retaining clip. It drives the diverter valve on Baxi combi boilers, moving the valve between central heating and domestic hot water positions. It is used on the 224, 228, 424 and 428 combi families in natural gas and LPG variants.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • No hot water while central heating continues to run, or the reverse
  • Diverter valve stuck in one position regardless of demand
  • Motor head buzzing, humming or repeatedly cycling without moving the valve
  • Boiler failing to switch between heating and hot water modes
  • Unstable domestic hot water temperature during draw-off
