What it is
The Baxi 7661826 is a safety valve assembly for the ErP Combi boiler range. It relieves excess pressure from the heating circuit by discharging water when the system pressure exceeds the valve setting. The assembly is supplied as a pressure relief valve kit for service and repair work on the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water continually dripping or discharging from the pressure relief discharge pipe when the system is below the valve setting
- System pressure repeatedly rising and then dropping, with the boiler needing frequent topping up
- The valve fails to reseat after operating, leaving a permanent weep at the discharge point
- Scale, sludge or debris visible on the valve seat or outlet, preventing a clean seal
- Pressure gauge readings climbing towards the safety limit during normal running
