What it is
The Hamworthy 742157065 is a fibre washer with a 34 mm outer diameter and a 27 mm inner diameter. It is a sealing component used in gas boiler assemblies, where it compresses between mating faces to prevent leaks at a joint. It sits within the O-rings, washers and gaskets category of boiler spares.
Before you order
- Measure the existing washer and confirm the 34 mm outer diameter and 27 mm inner diameter match before ordering.
- Cross-check the part number 742157065 against the appliance's parts documentation to confirm it is the correct washer for the joint in question.
- Fibre washers compress and deform once a joint is tightened, so a new washer should be fitted whenever a joint is broken and remade.
- Check the mating faces are clean and undamaged, as scoring or debris will prevent the washer from sealing properly.
