What it is
A 1" equal straight union manufactured by Hamworthy, supplied in black malleable iron to the Figure 257 pattern. It joins two lengths of pipework on the same bore with a male and a female threaded connection, and the union nut allows the joint to be broken and remade without disturbing the pipe runs. It is a general pipework fitting rather than an appliance-specific component.
Before you order
- Confirm that 1" is the nominal size required for the pipework being joined.
- Check that a male/female equal straight union suits the existing threads and the direction of the run.
- Verify that the black malleable iron Figure 257 pattern matches the specification of the surrounding pipework.
- Quote manufacturer part number 741604299 when ordering.
