What it is
The Vaillant 733244 is an ignition cable used on Vaillant Ecomax gas boilers. It carries the ignition voltage from the control to the ignition electrode so the burner can be lit. It is listed under electrodes within Vaillant gas boiler spares.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to light and goes to lockout with no spark at the electrode.
- Ignition is intermittent, with the boiler lighting on some attempts and not others.
- The cable insulation is cracked, burnt, brittle or showing exposed conductor.
- The cable or its connector is loose, corroded or damaged at the electrode end.
- A visible break or arcing mark is present along the cable run.
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above before ordering.
- Check the existing cable and electrode connections for damage, as a poor connection can mimic a failed cable.
- Have the part number 733244 to hand when checking against the manufacturer's parts list for your boiler.
- Isolate the boiler from the electrical supply before inspecting or replacing the cable.
