What it is

The Baxi 7212449 is a five-element burner assembly used in Baxi Ecoblue gas boilers. It sits within the combustion chamber and distributes the gas/air mixture across the burner surface for controlled combustion. It is a serviceable component, replaced when the burner surface or elements degrade.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Unstable or lifting flame across the burner surface
  • Yellow or lazy flame instead of a crisp blue flame
  • Sooting or blackening around the burner and combustion chamber
  • Rising CO readings or a failed combustion analysis
  • Repeated ignition lockouts or flame failure faults

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check the existing burner is the five-element type before ordering
  • Inspect the combustion chamber, seals and gaskets for condition while the burner is out
  • Confirm the appliance has not been superseded by a later model variant
