What it is
The Baxi 720954401 is an air pressure switch kit used on Baxi Solo 3 PF and Solo 3 PF System boilers. It monitors the pressure created by the combustion fan and signals the printed circuit board that the fan is running and clearing flue gases. If the fan stops or the pressure signal is lost, the board prevents the appliance from firing, so noxious products of combustion cannot build up inside the boiler.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to fire even though the fan runs
- The fan runs but the burner never lights, with the appliance repeatedly going to lockout
- Intermittent ignition that clears after a reset and returns shortly afterwards
- The fan is noisy, slow to start or stops part-way through a cycle
- The printed circuit board reports a fan or air pressure fault
