What it is
The Baxi 720913401 is a support bracket that carries and locates the igniter on the appliance. It is a Baxi-manufactured component from the brackets and clamps group, used across the Ecoblue, Platinum 2 and Duo-tec 2 families. Its role is to hold the igniter in the correct position relative to the burner so that the spark is delivered reliably at every ignition sequence.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The appliance fails to light, or lights only after repeated attempts, because the igniter is no longer held at the correct gap.
- The igniter has worked loose in its mounting and moves when the boiler is serviced.
- Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the bracket where it sits close to the burner.
