Baxi Burner Assembly 40kW 720785201

The Baxi 720785201 is a 40kW burner assembly manufactured by Baxi for its condensing gas boiler range. It sits at the combustion end of the appliance and delivers the gas and air mixture to the flame area, where it is burned across the heat exchanger surface. The assembly is rated at 40kW and is used across the Duo-tec 2, Platinum 2 and Megaflo 2 families.

• Persistent ignition lockout or repeated failed light-ups on a boiler that otherwise has a healthy spark and gas supply
• A lazy, yellow or lifting flame instead of a steady blue flame across the burner surface
• Soot deposits, blackening or discolouration around the burner and heat exchanger
• Uneven flame pattern, with some burner ports failing to light or burning noticeably weaker than others
• Combustion readings drifting out of tolerance, or a CO/CO2 ratio that will not settle after servicing

• Confirm the appliance GC number and model against the compatibility list, as the same boiler name can appear with different gas types and outputs
• Check the existing burner against part number 720785201 and alternative number 1119804 before ordering
• Inspect the burner gasket and sealing components during strip-down and order replacements where the seal is disturbed
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
