What it is

The Baxi 720763201 is a condensate trap to heat exchanger hose — a moulded condensate assembly that carries acidic condensate water away from the heat exchanger outlet and down into the condensate trap. It is a direct replacement component manufactured by Baxi for use in its condensing boiler ranges.

The hose sits on the wet side of the appliance, so it is exposed to warm condensate, mild acid and constant moisture. That makes it a wear item rather than a lifetime part.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water pooling beneath the boiler or inside the casing around the condensate route
  • Visible cracking, splitting, hardening or perishing on the hose body or at the connection points
  • Condensate weeping or dripping from the joint between the hose and the trap or heat exchanger
  • White chalky scale or residue building up on or inside the hose, restricting flow
  • Boiler locking out or shutting down with a condensate-related fault code

Before you order

  • Check the appliance GC number and model plate against the compatibility list to confirm the hose matches your boiler
  • Confirm the part number 720763201 on the existing component or in the manufacturer's literature before ordering
  • Inspect the trap and heat exchanger connections while the hose is off, and replace any seals or gaskets that are disturbed during the job
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
