What it is
The heat exchanger front plate is the plate section that closes the primary heat exchanger on Baxi and Remeha Avanta 39C combination boilers. It forms part of the combustion-side assembly, where heat from the burner is transferred into the domestic heating water circuit. This is a 39kW rated component manufactured by Baxi under part number 720544901.

- Water weeping or staining around the heat exchanger body or plate joint
- Repeated pressure loss on the boiler gauge with no visible external leak
- Overheating, kettling or noisy boiling from the heat exchanger
- Localised corrosion, pitting or scale build-up on the plate face
