What it is
The Baxi 720508201 is a baffle plate produced by Baxi. On a gas appliance, a baffle plate is positioned in the flue gas path, where it slows and redirects the flow of hot combustion gases so that more heat is absorbed by the heat exchanger instead of passing straight out of the flue. It is catalogued as a miscellaneous component and is identified by its manufacturer part number alone.
Before you order
- Check that 720508201 matches the part number listed in your appliance's own parts list or exploded diagram.
- Note the appliance model and GC number so the correct plate can be confirmed before ordering.
- Inspect the existing baffle plate and its fitted position first, so the correct component is selected.
- A baffle plate sits in the flue gas path, so removal and refitting should be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
