What it is
The Baxi 720326701 is a thermostat kit for the Baxi Ecogen 24 gas boiler. It forms part of the appliance's temperature control arrangement, allowing the boiler to respond to heat demand from the system thermostat. The kit is listed by Baxi under the thermostats category of gas boiler spares.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler does not respond when the thermostat calls for heat
- Heating remains on when demand has been satisfied
- The thermostat has no effect on boiler operation at any setting
- Boiler short-cycles or runs erratically in relation to thermostat demand
- Visible damage, corrosion or loose connections at the thermostat kit
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance is a Baxi Ecogen 24 and check the model data plate
- Check the existing thermostat kit against part number 720326701
- Inspect the wiring and connections before replacing the kit, as faults elsewhere can mimic thermostat failure
- Verify the fault is with the thermostat kit and not the boiler's control board or sensor circuit
