What it is

The burner door insulation is a heat-resistant insulating panel that fits to the burner door of the Baxi Bermuda BBU 15 HE back boiler unit. It sits between the burner chamber and the door, limiting heat transfer to the door and surrounding casing. The panel is a serviceable item and is replaced when the original insulation has degraded.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The insulation is crumbling, flaking or breaking away from the door
  • Visible cracks, charring or heavy discolouration across the panel surface
  • The panel has detached from the burner door or is no longer seated correctly
  • Heat damage or scorching on the burner door or adjacent casing
  • Insulation material is missing in sections, leaving the door face exposed

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model is the Baxi Bermuda BBU 15 HE
  • Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the model listed above
  • Verify the part number 720127801 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
  • Inspect the burner door and its fixings for damage before fitting the new insulation
