What it is

The Buderus 7099706 is a sight glass supplied for Buderus 600 series gas boilers. It forms the viewing window on the combustion chamber casing, allowing the flame and burner condition to be checked during servicing without removing the casing. It is a casing component listed for the 600-11, 600-19 and 600-24 models in both R and S variants.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The glass is cracked, chipped or missing from the casing.
  • The viewing window is sooted, stained or clouded and cannot be cleaned clear.
  • The seal or seating around the glass is perished, letting combustion products escape past the casing.
  • The glass has become loose in its housing and no longer sits flush.

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and variant from the data badge, as the part is listed for both R and S versions of the 600 series.
  • Check the existing sight glass against the part number 7099706 to confirm it is the correct fitment.
  • Inspect the surrounding casing and seal at the same time, as damage there may also need addressing.
