What it is

The combustion divider (part 7099646) is a Buderus burner component used in the 600 series of gas boilers. It sits within the burner assembly and separates and directs the combustion path, helping to keep the burner flame pattern consistent across the range. It is a serviceable item and is accessed when the burner is stripped for inspection or repair.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible heat damage, distortion, cracking or erosion of the divider surface
  • Sooting or discolouration around the burner indicating an uneven combustion path
  • Unstable or uneven burner flame, or a flame that lifts or rolls back
  • Repeated flame-detection lockouts or combustion-related fault codes after the burner has been serviced

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check the existing divider for the part number 7099646 before ordering
  • Inspect the surrounding burner components and gaskets at the same time, as they are disturbed during removal
  • Work on gas-carrying components must be carried out by a competent, registered engineer
