What it is

The Buderus 7098946 safety clip is a retaining clip supplied in a pack of five. It is used on Buderus gas boiler appliances to secure components in position, preventing movement or accidental release in service. The clip forms part of the manufacturer's fixing and retaining hardware range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The existing clip is missing, snapped or visibly deformed
  • A cover, panel or internal component is loose or can be moved by hand
  • Vibration or rattling from a panel that the clip should be retaining
  • The clip no longer holds tension or springs back into shape when fitted
  • A clip has been lost during previous servicing and not replaced

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model against the fit list for the 800 series
  • Check the number of clips required, as the part is supplied as a pack of 5
  • Verify the existing part number 7098946 against the appliance documentation
  • Inspect the retaining point for damage before fitting the new clip
