What it is

This is a Buderus nut for the air vent, supplied under part number 7098824. It sits within the automatic air vent arrangement on Buderus 800 series gas boilers, where the vent assembly releases trapped air from the system water. The nut is a service component of that assembly rather than a complete vent unit.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or dripping from the air vent body where the nut seats
  • Seepage or staining around the vent connection after the system has been refilled
  • The nut will not tighten down or hold its seal on the vent assembly
  • Persistent air ingress or repeated air locking at the vent despite bleeding

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model matches one of the 800 series models listed above
  • Check the part number on the existing component or in the appliance documentation reads 7098824
  • Inspect the surrounding vent assembly for damage before fitting, as the nut alone will not correct a failed vent body
  • Verify the system is depressurised and drained as required before dismantling the vent
