What it is
The 1/2 inch isolating valve is an Alpha component used to isolate the water supply on compatible Alpha commercial boilers. It allows an engineer to shut off the water circuit at the appliance so that servicing, draining or component replacement can be carried out without draining the wider system.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The valve no longer shuts off the water flow fully when closed
- Water weeps from the spindle or gland area
- Water drips from the valve body or connections when the valve is closed
- The handle is stiff, seized or will not turn through its full travel
Before you order
- Confirm the valve size matches the 1/2 inch connection on the appliance
- Check the appliance model against the fit list above
- Have the water circuit drained and depressurised before removal
