What it is

The Altecnic Temperature Gauge 0-120°C is a dial-type thermometer with a back connection and a 100mm probe, used to display the water temperature within a heating or hot water system. It is part of the Altecnic Gauges range and mounts into the gauge pocket or tapping provided on the appliance or pipework. The 0-120°C scale covers the normal operating band of domestic and light commercial heating circuits.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The needle gives a reading that does not match the actual system temperature, or reads low or high against a known reference.
  • The needle sticks, jumps or fails to move as the system heats up and cools down.
  • Condensation, discolouration or clouding has built up behind the lens, making the scale difficult to read.
  • The lens, bezel or case is cracked or damaged, or the gauge no longer sits securely in its mounting.
  • Water is weeping from the probe connection or the stem where it enters the pocket or tapping.

Before you order

  • Confirm the 0-120°C scale suits the temperature range of the system the gauge is monitoring.
  • Check that a back connection matches the orientation and fixing on the existing gauge position.
  • Measure the existing probe and pocket depth to confirm that a 100mm probe will seat correctly.
  • Check the gauge face diameter and bezel suit the panel aperture or mounting collar on the appliance.
