What it is
The Vokera 6862 is a 3 port valve spring used in the diverter valve assembly of Vokera gas boilers. It provides the return force that positions the valve internally, so the appliance can switch correctly between heating and hot water demand. It is a service component for the valve body rather than a complete valve assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The valve fails to return to its rest position, so heating or hot water does not switch over correctly
- The diverter valve sticks or moves sluggishly when demand changes
- Weak or lost spring tension, causing inconsistent valve travel
- The valve does not seat properly, giving poor or intermittent hot water performance
- The spring is visibly corroded, distorted or broken on inspection
