What it is
The BUS LEAD - CONTROL UNIT is a Potterton Commercial wiring lead that connects the boiler control unit to the appliance's internal communication bus. It is supplied as a spare for Potterton Commercial Paramount gas boilers. The lead carries the control signals between the control unit and the rest of the boiler's electronic controls.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler control unit fails to communicate with the appliance, giving a bus or communication fault
- Intermittent lockouts or erratic control behaviour traced to the control unit wiring
- Visible damage to the lead, such as a pinched, chafed or broken conductor
- Loose or corroded plugs at either end of the lead
- Fault persists after the control unit and bus connections have been checked
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and output against the fits list above
- Check the existing lead's connectors and routing before removal
- Verify the part number 681476 against the label on the existing lead where legible
- Isolate the appliance electrically before fitting or inspecting the lead
