What it is
The Arctic Hayes 661024 is a braided glass yarn supplied in a 12mm diameter and a 5 metre length. It is a trade consumable used where a heat-resistant braided rope is needed for packing or sealing duties. The braided construction gives a flexible, pliable cord that can be worked into grooves and joints.
Before you order
- Confirm 12mm diameter is the correct size for the groove, joint or gap being packed.
- Check that a 5 metre length is sufficient for the full job, allowing for any waste on cutting.
- Consider whether a jointing compound, cement or adhesive is required for the intended application, as glass yarn braid is supplied as a dry cord.
- Store the yarn dry and away from contamination before use, as dust or moisture can affect sealing performance.
