What it is

The burner diaphragm is a component fitted within the burner assembly of Potterton Commercial boilers rated at 115 kW. It is manufactured for the Potterton Commercial range and sits within the combustion air or gas path of the burner. Its role is to regulate the diaphragm-controlled function of the burner on these commercial appliances.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner fails to light or lights intermittently despite gas and ignition checks passing
  • Unstable or inconsistent flame pattern at the burner
  • Combustion readings drift outside the expected range for the appliance
  • Visible damage, distortion, hardening or perishing of the diaphragm

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance is a Potterton Commercial Paramount model rated at 115 kW
  • Check the existing diaphragm for physical damage and compare against the fitted item
  • Verify the part number 656016 against the appliance documentation before ordering
  • Confirm access to the burner assembly is achievable with the boiler isolated and safe to work on
