What it is
Ignition electrodes from Ecoflam, listed for the Maxflam burner range. They form the spark gap that lights the burner, so a worn or damaged electrode set will stop the appliance firing. This is the electrode set identified in the supplier data as ELECTRODES MAXFLAM 20.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner runs through its pre-purge but fails to light and goes to lockout
- No visible spark at the electrode tips when the burner is called for heat
- Cracked, chipped or discoloured ceramic insulation around the electrodes
- Carbon or soot bridging the electrode tips, or eroded tips with an opened spark gap
- Burner lights intermittently and drops out shortly after ignition
