What it is

The Brahma FC7/A photocell is a flame detection device used on Ecoflam oil burners and oil-fired boiler plant. Fitted to the burner's control circuit, it monitors light from the flame and signals the control box to hold the burner in operation or shut it down on loss of flame. This item is supplied with its mounting clamp.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner locks out shortly after ignition despite a healthy flame
  • Repeated lockouts that clear on reset but return on the next cycle
  • Burner runs for the safety time then shuts down with no flame signal
  • Soot, oil residue or clouding on the photocell window affecting detection
