What it is
The Ariston 65151676 is an expansion valve rated at 0.8kW. It is used in the refrigerant circuit of Ariston NUOS EVO heat pump water heaters, where it regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator. Correct operation of this valve is what allows the heat pump to absorb heat from the surrounding air efficiently.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Reduced hot water recovery or the cylinder failing to reach its set temperature
- The heat pump running but delivering little or no heat to the water
- Frost or ice building up unevenly on the evaporator coil
- Refrigerant flow noise, or a system that repeatedly cuts out on a pressure fault
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and that it is a NUOS EVO 80 or NUOS EVO 110
- Check the existing valve rating and part number against 65151676 before ordering
- Work on the refrigerant circuit requires the relevant handling and recovery equipment and competence
- Verify whether any associated seals, valves or refrigerant are also required for the repair
