What it is

The Ariston 65112046 is a 7 bar safety valve used on Ariston Kairos MACC unvented hot water cylinders. It relieves excess pressure from the cylinder to protect the vessel and associated components. The valve is rated at 7 bar and is supplied as a single component.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or dripping from the valve outlet when the cylinder is at normal operating pressure
  • Continuous discharge through the tundish or discharge pipe with no obvious system fault
  • The valve fails to relieve pressure when the cylinder is over-pressurised
  • Scale, corrosion or debris visible around the valve seat or outlet
  • The valve has been operated manually and will not reseat
