What it is
The Ariston 65109003 is a lever-operated safety valve with a 1/2 inch connection and a 7 bar pressure rating. It is fitted to Ariston NUOS EVO hot water cylinders, where it relieves excess pressure from the cylinder. The lever allows the valve to be lifted manually for checking and flushing through.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water discharging or dripping from the valve outlet when the cylinder is not under abnormal pressure
- The valve weeping continuously, or failing to reseat after being lifted
- The lever feels stiff, seized or does not return freely
- Scale or corrosion visible around the valve body or outlet
- Pressure or temperature relief operating more often than expected
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model against the fit list above
- Check the existing valve for its connection size and pressure rating
- Inspect the valve position and pipework access before removal
- Isolate the water supply and depressurise the cylinder before fitting
