What it is

This is an Ariston heating element for the NUOS heat pump cylinder range. It provides the electrical immersion heating function within the cylinder, working alongside the heat pump to bring the stored water up to temperature. This version is specified for appliances built to date code 11/09.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Domestic hot water runs cold or only lukewarm despite the cylinder calling for heat
  • The immersion circuit trips the RCD or MCB when the element is energised
  • No continuity or an open circuit reading when the element terminals are tested
  • Visible scale build-up, blistering or corrosion on the element sheath
  • The element draws no current when tested with a clamp meter during a heating cycle
