What it is

The Ariston 65104703 is an automatic air vent supplied with an O-ring, intended for Ariston Clas HE, E-Combi and E-System appliances. It mounts at a high point in the heating circuit, where air naturally collects, and discharges that air continuously while the system is running and while it is being filled.

Trapped air is one of the common causes of poor circulation, cold spots at radiators and kettling or gurgling noises from the boiler. The vent works automatically, so the circuit clears itself without manual bleeding. The supplied O-ring seals the vent body against its mounting point and should be renewed with the vent to avoid a weep at the joint.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Gurgling, kettling or rushing water noises continue after the system has been filled and bled.
  • Air keeps reappearing at radiators or high points, and the system needs bleeding repeatedly.
  • Radiators or upper sections of the circuit stay cold even after manual venting.
  • Water weeps or drips from the vent body, cap or its mounting joint.
  • System pressure swings more than expected between cold and hot states.
  • The vent cap no longer releases air when opened by hand.

Before you order

  • Confirm 65104703 against the appliance data badge, installation manual or existing component before ordering.
  • Inspect the mounting thread and O-ring seat for corrosion or damage, as a scored seat will not seal with a new O-ring alone.
  • Note the appliance model and serial number so the correct variant is identified.
  • Have a replacement O-ring to hand if the existing one is hardened or flattened.
