Ariston Ionization Electrode Cable 65104518

The ionization electrode cable (CN05) is a wiring lead for Ariston gas boilers, connecting the ionization electrode to the control board so the flame sensing signal can be read. It is used across the CLAS, AS and EGIS appliance families. The lead carries the low-voltage ionization current that the PCB uses to confirm a flame is present and keep the burner running.

• Boiler locks out or fails to stay lit after ignition, with a flame detection fault logged
• Repeated lockouts shortly after the burner lights, suggesting a lost or intermittent ionization signal
• Cracked, brittle or heat-damaged insulation on the cable
• Corroded, loose or discoloured connector at the electrode or PCB end
• Flame sensing faults that persist after the electrode and its gap have been checked and cleaned

• Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above, including any edition or revision marking on the data badge
• Inspect the existing cable and both connectors for damage, corrosion or poor contact before replacing
• Check the electrode itself and its gap, as a faulty electrode can produce the same symptoms as a faulty cable
• Note the routing and any clips or sleeving on the original lead so the new cable is secured away from hot surfaces
