What it is
The Ariston 65101718 is an 8 litre expansion vessel supplied as a kit. It is fitted to Ariston Genus 27 BFFI boilers, where it absorbs the volume change in the sealed heating circuit as the system water heats and cools. The vessel maintains system pressure within the design range and protects components from excessive pressure rise.
Signs this part needs replacing
- System pressure rises sharply once the boiler is up to temperature, then falls again as it cools
- Pressure relief valve discharging during normal heating cycles
- Frequent topping up of system pressure at the filling loop
- Water present at the vessel's air valve when the charge is checked
- Vessel feels heavy or waterlogged when tapped
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and edition against the fit list above
- Check the existing vessel's capacity and connection arrangement match the 8 litre kit
- Verify system pressure behaviour is caused by the vessel and not by a blocked filling loop or faulty pressure gauge
- Check the vessel's air charge point and mounting position are accessible for the swap
