What it is
The Ariston 65100244 is a gas valve used on Microcombi, Microgenus and Microtec boiler ranges. It regulates the flow of gas to the burner under the control of the boiler's electronics, opening and modulating supply during a demand for heat or hot water. The valve body is a Honeywell VK4105M5041.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite and locks out repeatedly, with no gas reaching the burner.
- Flame lights briefly then drops out during a demand for heating or hot water.
- The boiler runs but produces no heat, or ignition is intermittent and unreliable.
- A smell of gas around the appliance, or a valve body that is visibly damaged or corroded.
- Whistling, clicking or irregular operation from the gas valve during firing.
