What it is

The 3-way valve cable is a wiring harness supplied by Ariston for the motorised diverter valve used on the ONE series of boilers. It carries the control signal and feedback between the boiler's PCB and the three-way valve head, allowing the valve to switch the appliance between central heating and domestic hot water. The cable is listed under Ariston part number 6501173000.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The three-way valve does not move when the boiler switches between heating and hot water
