What it is
The Ariston 65000261 is a gas valve assembly for the Genus Premium EVO HP range of condensing boilers. It uses the Honeywell VK8115V1168 valve body and controls the flow of gas to the burner in response to the boiler's demand signal. The valve regulates inlet gas pressure and modulates supply to match the firing rate set by the appliance's control board.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite and locks out, with no gas reaching the burner
- Flame is unstable, weak or drops out shortly after ignition
- Gas pressure at the burner cannot be set or held within specification during a service check
- Audible whistling or chattering from the valve body during modulation
- The valve does not respond to demand from the control board, or sticks in one position
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and output match one of the appliances listed above
- Check the valve body reference on the existing component against Honeywell VK8115V1168
- Verify the fault is with the valve itself and not the ignition, detection or control circuit feeding it
- Work on gas-carrying components must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
