What it is
The Ariston 64200261 is a silencer for the fan assembly, manufactured by Ariston for use in the Genus Premium EVO HP range. It sits in the fan air path and reduces the airborne noise produced as the fan moves combustion air through the appliance. It is a service part intended for fitment when the existing silencer has degraded or the fan has become noticeably louder in operation.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Fan noise has increased noticeably compared with normal operation
- A droning or resonating tone from the fan area that was not present before
- Vibration or noise transmitted through the casing during running
- Whistling or harsh airflow noise from the fan or flue path
- Noise is worst at ignition or when the appliance is at high output
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model on the data badge matches Genus Premium EVO HP 45KW or 65KW
- Check the existing silencer for a readable part number before removal
- Inspect the fan assembly for wear, debris or bearing noise, as a failed fan can mimic a silencer fault
- Verify the silencer is the source of the noise and not loose casing panels or flue components
