What it is
The Varem R1005228 is a 5 litre expansion vessel from the Extravarem range, manufactured by Varem for potable water systems. It absorbs the expansion of heated water in domestic hot water installations, limiting the pressure rise that occurs as the cylinder or water heater warms up. The vessel is intended for potable (domestic hot water) service rather than sealed heating circuits.
Before you order
- Confirm that a 5 litre vessel suits the system volume and the expansion allowance required for the installation.
- Check that the 3/4 in connection matches the pipework, tee or union it will be fitted to.
- Verify the vessel is specified for potable water use, as vessels intended for sealed heating circuits are not interchangeable with potable units.
- Check the available space and mounting arrangement, since the vessel must be supported and accessible for future pre-charge checking.
