What it is
The Flow Switch Repair Kit is a service component for the flow switch assembly fitted to Sime appliances. The flow switch signals the boiler or water heater when there is sufficient water movement through the circuit, allowing the controls to enable the burner on a demand for hot water. This kit is used to restore that flow-sensing function when the existing assembly is no longer operating correctly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No burner ignition on a hot water draw-off while heating continues to work normally
- Intermittent hot water, with the appliance firing and dropping out during the same demand
- The appliance lockout or fault indication recurring on DHW demand rather than on heating
- The pump runs but the boiler does not respond to a tap being opened
