What it is
The Sime 6326948 is a glass gasket used on Sime Murelle ONE HE 25 appliances. It seals the joint around the sight glass, preventing flue gases and condensate from escaping past the glass and its retaining plate. The gasket is a consumable item and is replaced whenever the glass is removed or the seal is disturbed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or crumbling of the gasket material
- The gasket has hardened and no longer compresses to form a seal
- Discolouration, soot staining or condensate tracking around the sight glass
- The gasket is stuck to the glass or the retaining plate and breaks up on removal
- The glass has been removed for cleaning or inspection and the gasket cannot be reused
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Check the existing gasket against the part number 6326948 before ordering
- Inspect the sight glass and retaining plate for damage at the same time
- Do not refit a gasket that has hardened, cracked or been compressed out of shape
