What it is

The Sime casing, part number 6317852, is the outer cover for a range of Sime gas boilers. It encloses the internal components of the appliance and forms the outer panel on the listed models. It is listed by Sime as a case within the manufacturer's boiler spares range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracks or splits in the casing panel
  • Corrosion, blistering or flaking paint on the casing surface
  • Impact damage or deformation that prevents the panel seating correctly
  • Casing fixings or locating points that no longer hold the panel secure
  • Access panels or edges that no longer line up with the appliance body

Before you order

  • Check the appliance model number against the fit list above before ordering
  • Compare the part number on the existing casing with 6317852
  • Confirm whether the boiler is a time clock or non-time clock variant where this is shown in the fit list
  • Inspect the casing fixings and seals so any additional parts can be identified at the same time
