What it is

The Sime 6316268 is a four pole cable connector used on Sime Format DGT HE and Open DGT HE gas boilers. It provides the plug-in electrical connection between the boiler wiring harness and the appliance's control or component circuits. The connector is a serviceable electrical part, replaced when the plug body or its terminals are damaged.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Intermittent power or faults that clear when the connector is disturbed
  • Loose or poor contact between the plug and its mating socket
  • Discoloured, scorched or melted connector housing
  • Cracked plug body or damaged retaining clips
  • Corroded or blackened terminals inside the connector

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above before ordering.
  • Check the existing connector for pole count and plug orientation.
  • Inspect the mating socket and wiring harness for damage that may also need attention.
  • Isolate the electrical supply to the appliance before removing or refitting the connector.
