What it is

The Con Cable Sensor Safebe Grommet is a Buderus component, part number 63039214. It seals and supports the sensor cable where the lead passes through the boiler casing on GB312 series appliances. The grommet keeps the cable entry closed while protecting the sensor lead from chafing against the metalwork.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The grommet has hardened, split or perished, leaving the cable entry open
  • Visible gaps around the sensor cable where it passes through the casing
  • The sensor lead shows chafing or abrasion at the entry point
  • The grommet has been disturbed during servicing and no longer sits correctly in its aperture

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and variant against the fit list, including the gas type suffix
  • Check that the existing grommet and sensor cable routing match the part number 63039214
  • Inspect the sensor lead itself for damage before refitting, as a worn cable will not be fixed by the grommet alone
