What it is
The Sime 6280500 is a three way junction with pressure tester, used as the connector for venturi pipes to the air pressure switch. It is a Sime-manufactured component fitted across a wide range of Sime gas boilers, including the Avant, Climit, Dewy, Ecomfort, Economy, and Format families. The junction routes the pressure sensing pipework from the venturi to the air pressure switch and provides a test point for verifying the pressure signal.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or perishing of the junction body
- Leaks or weeping at the junction where the venturi sensing pipes connect
- Blocked or restricted sensing ports causing the air pressure switch to read incorrectly
- Boiler lockout or intermittent ignition faults traced to a poor pressure signal at the switch
- Loose or degraded pipe connections that will not seal on the junction spigots
