What it is
The air-gas hose is a flexible connection used on Sime Planet DEWY 60 BFR appliances. It carries the air and gas mixture between the fan and the burner assembly, so the correct hose is essential for stable combustion. This is the Sime part numbered 6278803.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or perishing of the hose wall
- Hardening or loss of flexibility in the rubber
- Loose or deteriorated hose connections at the fan or burner end
- Combustion faults, unstable flame or repeated lockouts traced to the air-gas path
- Signs of leakage or soot staining around the hose
