What it is

The Sime 6278703 smoke chamber is a flue-side component used on Sime's high-efficiency condensing boiler range. It forms part of the combustion and flue gas path, collecting and directing the products of combustion towards the flue outlet. It is a serviceable component, replaced when the chamber is damaged, corroded or contaminated.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the chamber body
  • Soot, debris or condensate build-up inside the chamber
  • Flue gas leakage or staining around the chamber joints
  • Combustion readings outside the manufacturer's stated range
  • Repeated lockouts or flame failure traced to the flue gas path

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check that the part number on the existing component matches 6278703
  • Some model names are shared across ErP and MKII variants, so confirm the exact variant
  • If your appliance is not listed, check it against the manufacturer's parts list
