What it is

The Sime 14 pole female cable connector J2 (part number 6278661) is a wiring harness connector used on Sime Dewy gas boiler appliances. It provides the multi-pin electrical interface between the boiler's wiring loom and the associated control or sensing components. The J2 designation identifies its position within the appliance's connection layout.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Intermittent or complete loss of electrical continuity through the connector
  • Loose or poor fit between the connector and its mating plug
  • Discoloured, scorched or heat-damaged connector housing
  • Corroded, bent or retracted terminals within the connector body
  • Boiler faults or error codes traced to the J2 connection during diagnosis

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above, including the appliance code where shown
  • Check that the existing connector is a 14 pole female type and is marked J2
