What it is
The Sime connecting pipe (part number 6277925, boiler code 8093577) is a pipe assembly used on Sime Planet DEWY 60 BFR gas boilers. It forms the connection between the pump and the boiler body, carrying water through the primary circuit. This version applies from serial number 3713301505 onwards.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible water weeping or staining at the pipe joints or along the pipe run
- Corrosion, pitting or surface scale on the pipe body
- Loss of system pressure that cannot be traced to another component
- Kettling or gurgling noises suggesting restricted flow through the pipe
- Pipe deformation or a joint that will not seal after re-making
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model is a Sime Planet DEWY 60 BFR
- Check the boiler serial number is 3713301505 or later, as this pipe applies from that number
- Compare the existing pipe against part number 6277925 and boiler code 8093577 before ordering
- Inspect the mating pump and boiler connections for damage that may also need attention
