What it is
The Sime connecting pipe links the gas valve to the mixer assembly on the appliance's gas train. It is a manufacturer-supplied pipe section for Sime wall-mounted condensing boilers in the Brava SLIM HE and Murelle Advanced HE ranges. Its role is to carry the gas path between the valve and mixer components within the combustion assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible gas leakage or a detectable gas smell around the valve-to-mixer connection
- Corrosion, pitting or surface staining on the pipe body or at the union joints
- Soot deposits or discolouration indicating a disturbed gas path
- Combustion readings outside the expected range that trace back to the gas train
- Ignition or flame stability faults that persist after the gas valve and mixer have been checked
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and serial number against the fitment list above
- Check the existing pipe for the Sime part number or an equivalent marking
- Inspect the union joints and seals, as these are disturbed during replacement
- Verify whether any other gas train components require attention at the same time
