What it is
The Sime 6274123 is a 5.00mm LPG injector for the main burner on Sime gas boilers. It meters the gas flow into the burner to suit the calorific value and pressure of LPG, so the burner lights and burns at the correct rate. It is a burner-side gas component, not a pilot or ignition part.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner fails to light or lights intermittently on LPG
- Weak or uneven flame across the main burner
- Soot deposits or discolouration around the burner
- Poor combustion readings that cannot be corrected by gas pressure adjustment
- Visible blockage, damage or wear at the injector orifice
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the fit list above
- Check the existing injector size marking to confirm 5.00mm is correct for the installation
- Verify the appliance is set up for LPG, as this injector is not suitable for natural gas
- Check the burner assembly for other worn components before reassembly
